Filtering

The vehicle filtering system prevents transmission and engine contamination though allows enough fluid or airflow to prevent engine and transmission problems. A cabin air filter, which is a segment of the vehicle filtering system, prevents airborne particles from entering the vehicle's interior.

  • Engine Air Filters

Function - traps airborne dust particles before they enter the engine, preventing dirty engine.

Signs of Wear - exessively dirty air filter, engine fault, increased fuel consumption.

  • Oil Filter

Function - cleanses engine oil to help reduce engine damage.

Signs of Wear - dark, dirty oil.

  • In-Line Fuel Filter

Function - prevents fuel contamination by trapping engine dirt before it enters the engine's fuel delivery.

Signs of Wear - rough-running engine, poor acceleration, bad gas mileage, engine reduced power at high speeds.

  • Cabin Air Filter

Function - prevents airborne particles from entering the vehicle.

Signs of Wear - excessively dirty car filter, poor cabin ventilation/airflow, car air conditioner smell.

  • Automatic Transmission Filter

Function - prevents a dirty transmission.

Signs of Wear - excessively dirty transmission filter.

Is your car sluggish? Clean air filters contribute to better fuel economy and will reduce vehicle operating cost.

Service and Maintenance
